John Coursey, M.D.
John W. Coursey, M.D. is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his undergraduate studies at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, and received a Bachelor of Science degree. He then completed his basic medical education at the University of Vanderbilt School of Medicine in Nashville and received his Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed his Internship at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, and his Urology Residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. In 2003, he became a Diplomat of the American Board of Urology.  He served in the U. S. Army for over 20 years as a Urologist and Flight Surgeon. He served two combat tours in Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 101st Airborne (Air Assault) Division in 2003 and with the 31st Combat Support Hospital in 2004.
Dr. Coursey has a special interest in minimally invasive robotic surgery.  He has done robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery since 2007. He is currently the Medical Director of Robotic Surgery at Maury Regional Medical Center. His main focus in this area is prostate and kidney cancer treatments.

​Anthony D. Khim, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Khim joined CUA in August 1996.  He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.  He completed his urology training at the University of California at Irvine.  He enjoys practicing general urology.  He is one of the few surgeons in the region to perform sacral neuromodulator implants for the FDA-approved treatment of urinary frequency or urgency, urgency incontinence, urinary retention, or fecal incontinence.
His interests outside of work include running, golf, travel, and visiting with his two grown children.


Andrea VanFleet, MSN, NP-C, CUNP
Andrea graduated nursing school in 2009 from the University of North Alabama in Florence with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is one of about 125 Certified Urologic Nurse Practitioners (CUNP) in the United States. She specializes in Botox, Testopel, Percutaneous Nerve evaluations, and other urology procedures. She worked at Maury Regional Medical Center for 4 years as a nurse on ICUSD and as a charge nurse. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Middle Tennessee State University in 2013. She worked with Dr. Khim at MRMC before starting with him when she graduated from her Master's program. Her certification in Urology required 2 years of experience/training which she did under Dr. Khim as well as a 175 question board exam she took in Las Vegas, NV in Oct 2015.
